William M InscoeWilliam Maurice Inscoe, 82, of Shiloh died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at Heritage Hall in King George. Born in Shiloh, he was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school secretary for many years. Mr. Inscoe retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren division, after 32 years of service and was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dora Surles Inscoe; his daughter, Debbie Inscoe Morris, and her husband, Terry, of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Gene Christy and Lucille Brooks, both of Fredericksburg; two grandchildren, Tabitha Morris Kontur and her husband, Kris, and William Morris; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Shiloh Baptist Church. The Rev. Dwight Storke Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church building fund, 13457 Kings Highway, King George, Va. 22485.
